August 28 - Seagrasses and their Importance to the Indian River Lagoon

Seagrasses are not just a manatee’s version of salad. They are important indicators in the health and water quality of the Lagoon. Join Kathy Hill, Indian River Lagoon Education Coordinator from the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program, as she talks about how scientists use seagrass to determine general health factors in the Lagoon and how else they benefit the environment and Lagoon inhabitants.
